    Mark founded Responsive Management in 1990. During the past 35 years, he has managed more than 1,200 studies on how people relate to the outdoors. Mark is a Certified Wildlife Biologist and holds a master’s degree from Yale University where he attended on two academic scholarships.

    Ali joined Responsive Management in 1998 and performs all of the firm’s administrative duties. She maintains databases, accounts, and payroll; conducts business development; and coordinates focus group logistics. She received her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

    Andrea joined Responsive Management in 2004 and as a leader in survey design, has developed over 200 survey instruments. Andrea writes reports and moderates focus groups. She is a co-author of The Sportsman’s Voice: Hunting and Fishing in America. Andrea holds a master’s degree from Virginia Tech.

    Martin joined Responsive Management in 2000 and serves as the firm’s lead technical report writer. Martin also manages Responsive Management’s quantitative data analysis. He is co-author of The Sportsman’s Voice: Hunting and Fishing in America. Marty holds a master’s degree from the University of Vermont.

    Tom joined Responsive Management in 2006. Tom is Responsive Management’s lead proposal writer and manages projects, moderates focus groups, and writes proposals and final reports. He received his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

    Amanda joined Responsive Management in 2013. She manages and implements projects and also assists in Responsive Management’s marketing efforts. Amanda received her degree in Advanced Research Studies from James Madison University and holds a master’s degree in public administration.

    Patrick joined Responsive Management in 2011 and is responsible for survey data analysis and the coding of survey instruments. Patrick has analyzed complex datasets for a range of federal, state, and nonprofit clients. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary.

    Greg joined Responsive Management in 2013. Greg’s responsibilities include statistical data analysis, survey coding, and technical writing for survey projects and reports. Greg received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from West Virginia University.

    Jeremiah joined Responsive Management in 2022 and is responsible for survey implementation and management, including direct supervision of 75 professional interviewers. Jeremiah received a bachelor's degree from James Madison University.

    Maddie’s work focuses on social science research methods and the intersection of conservation and social justice. She has a decade of experience with water conservation, wildlife, and marine science issues as they relate to underrepresented populations in decision-making. She holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Clemson University and recently completed an internship at Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station in Monterey, California.

    Cindi received her Ph.D. in Natural Resources Policy and Management from Cornell University and has 27 years of experience in academia and as a wildlife professional with state and federal governments. She is an expert at conducting and publishing social science research, leading organizational planning and change initiatives, partnership growing, budget evaluation, agenda setting and meeting facilitation, and more. She has worked with Responsive Management on numerous projects and is a valuable consultant and partner.

  • Telephone Interviewers

    Responsive Management maintains a full-service, state-of-the-art computer-assisted telephone survey center with 75 professional interviewers. To ensure that the data collected are of the highest quality, Responsive Management’s interviewers are trained through lectures, role-playing, and video instruction, according to the standards established by the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
