Online Public Input Forums
Online public input forums are commonly used as a supplemental data collection technique to generate feedback from as many members of a study population as possible—while not a scientific sampling technique, online public input forums can be an important mechanism for collecting information from those who are not randomly selected to take part in a survey. Responsive Management works with clients to design, post, and maintain a dedicated website to host the online public input forum; site visitors are then invited to submit comments regarding the study topics. The public input forum is often updated with questions or discussion topics throughout the study.
Responsive Management works with clients to communicate the availability of the forum through news releases distributed to media outlets, and notices posted to client websites or distributed through newsletters and/or mailing lists. Comments posted to the public input forum websites help to qualitatively identify and clarify issues relevant to the overall study.
