Public Meetings
To supplement findings from standardized research techniques such as surveys and focus groups, Responsive Management often works with agencies and organizations to conduct public meetings. Public meetings provide a forum for input and feedback, an opportunity for two-way dialogue between agencies/organizations and the general public, and a means of identifying further issues of interest or concern. Public meetings help to reinforce transparency and encourage public investment in decision-making. Responsive Management facilitates all aspects of public meetings, including selecting locations, developing advertisements in various media, targeting specific groups, facilitating meetings, and analyzing the feedback.
Responsive Management typically coordinates with clients in advance of public meetings to determine suitable media in which to advertise the meetings. Responsive Management also drafts meeting facilitation guides that incorporate key research results or topics to cover with meeting attendees. The meeting guide is then used to facilitate discussion at the meeting and ensure that the meetings adhere to the predetermined schedule of topics. Public meeting locations are identified based on a selection of geographically representative areas in the study region. Responsive Management confirms all meeting location reservations in writing and coordinates meeting room setup. Responsive Management typically records public meetings in order to review and analyze the comments.
